Foreclosure Prevention Counseling

Millions of Americans find themselves in a position where they are at risk of losing their home. There are many reasons for this, including: loss of income, unforeseen expenses, family changes, and countless other circumstances. Whatever the reason, foreclosure counseling can help a family save their home or, in some cases, free themselves of the home and the attached loan without damaging their credit.

Please call the Clinch Powell Home Team at 865-828-5927 if you are behind, or will soon be behind, on your home loan.

About Foreclosure

When a family falls behind on their home payment, the lender can foreclose on the home. Lenders can see this as a last resort, but generally they would rather keep a family in the home making payments.

The general events leading up to foreclosure are listed below. Please note that from the first day your payments are late, you will begin to accrue late fees and other related charges. The sooner you contact us, the more likely we will be able to help you.

  • Delinquency Letter after missed payment(s)
  • Notice of Default
  • Notice of Foreclosure Sale
  • The Foreclosure Sale

For more detailed information please read through the Foreclosure Avoidance Procedures (external link) found at Be sure to check out other related information they provide.

To set up an appointment with the Clinch Powell Home Team, please send us the following intake packet with all required documentation.

The intake packet includes instructions for returning the packet, and acquiring the correct documents. If you have questions, please call 865-828-5927 or email
